The 1876 Masonic bust of King Edward VII Master in Parian ware, a type of porcelain developed by Mintons in around 1845.
The bust was produced the year after the Prince of Wales, the future King Edward VII, became Grand Master in 1875.
It shows the future King in Masonic regalia, is in perfect condition.
The bust measures 40cm x 29cm x 20cm and is extremely heavy, weighing in at just over 4 1/2 Kilos.
It is inscribed W. T Copeland and Sons.
Of the two others I have seen, one was cracked and the other chipped. This example is in perfect condition.
Extremely scarce as such.
The base also bears the inscription- Art Museum of London 1864.
Perfect for a museum or a discerning collector.
