An early Victorian Scottish Royal Arch members jewel dating from 1855-1860.The jewel is silver-gilt, , and has a typical Victorian hanger, and the ribbon, which has the voile or “watermark” effect, is in excellent condition for its age.
This is a very special jewel, as apart from being rare anyway, it is the actual jewel listed in THE MEDALS AND JEWELS OF BRITISH FREEMASONRY by TREVOR I. HARRIS.
It is 10cm in length, and the jewel itself measures 5cm x 3.5cm.
