The earliest recorded special Masonic Medal.
Produced in 1733 to commemorate the Earl of Sackville when in 1733 he was reputed to have become the
first Master of a lodge at Florence, Italy.
Undoubtedly, the most prized of all special masonic jewels, and is the ‘impossible dream’ for most collectors.
Over the last 40 years, very few have appeared on the market. I’ve been informed that the last medal offered for sale at auction was over 15 years ago when it sold for around £4400 including premium.
