Struck on his death in 1843, the inscription on the reverse around the rim of the medal reads- Born January 27 1773 Died April 21 1843, with his Grand Master’s collar and Grand Master’s jewel in a circle inside the inscription, and a Masonic square and rule with triangle in the centre underneath..
The obverse shows The Duke of Sussex wearing a skullcap.
