TH584a A huge 1908 London Grand Rank collar jewel in silver-gilt and gold.
From the rare very first year of London Rank. The jewel has a Hallmark for 1907 and
is much larger and heavier than those normally seen. All LGR jewels pre-1912 are rare.
Fully hallmarked silver-gilt for 1907 and made by George Kenning and Spencer.
The jewel was presented to W. Bro. John Bott by the Brethren of Honor Oak Lodge No.1986.
It is a very special jewel, only the second 1908 first issue LGR jewel I have encountered in 35 plus
years (the other was in 18ct gold) and it weighs a very heavy 47 grams.
