A very special and very large frosted gilt Royal Arch Chapter jewel made by George kenning
in around 1865.

This is one of the very last large Georgian style Chapter jewels made, as by this time the
smaller size Chapter jewels similar to what we see today had come into fashion.

The jewel is in virtually new condition with no wear or faults, and is made in frosted gilt.

It is noticeably larger than any of those shown in George Kenning’s Masonic Catalogue of 1884.

The matching hanger was made by Spilling of London, and is also in excellent condition,
and the original ribbon has the typical moire or watermark effect of the time.

The jewel has Kenning London engraved at the top. This is the first large size Chapter jewel
made by George Kenning I have ever come accross or seen, I was actually unaware they made
them, and it would be eye-catching and a pleasure to wear.

A rare jewel.
