  7. TH605 The Victorian Crimson and Blue Royal Arch Watchcase Member’s jewel

TH605 The Victorian Crimson and Blue Royal Arch Watchcase Member’s jewel

£650.00

Out of stock

A fine example of the extremely rare Victorian Crimson and Blue Royal Arch watchcase jewel.

The Crimson and Blue Royal Arch watchcase jewels are much sought after and seldom seen,
and were made between 1880 and 1900, and is arguable the definitive Victorian Chapter jewel.

Although the hallmark is mostly worn, it appears to be a London hallmark for 1897.

An extremely special jewel which would be superb to wear, a similar example sold recently for over £1000.00,
and I have only come across three or four examples in 30 years. It comes with a typically Victorian hanger.

The jewel itself measures 4cm by 7cm, and the total height including the ribbon is 12cm.

Hallmarked silver-gilt.
