The original 1852 Henry Muggeridge hallmarked silver engraved snuff box.

The snuff-box is inscribed “A small token of sincere regard from Bro. J Somers,
to Bro. H. Muggeridge Decr. 10, 1852.

Henry Muggeridge is considered to be the father of Stability Working.

He was initiated in 1839 into Lion and Lamb Lodge No. 192 and was also a member of
St. James’s Chapter No. 2 and Union Waterloo’ Chapter, No 13 amongst others and he even
had a lodge named after him (he was its first Master).

The box is in excellent condition and is beautifully engine-turned on both the front and the back
and it has a Birmingham silver Hallmark.

A very special and rare item.
